But in what cases are you entitled to flight compensation?

Was the flight delayed?

For flights delayed by more than 3 hours, you may be entitled to compensation of up to €600 under EU Rule 261. The rule states that the flight must have been delayed at the final destination to file the claim. It must have either departed from an EU airport or arrived at an EU airport with an EU-registered airline.

Was the flight canceled?

If your flight is cancelled without notice of at least 14 days, you may be eligible for compensation under EU law. It's a bit complicated, as the compensation amount can be reduced by up to 50% based on several factors. However, we can help you understand your rights for canceled flights and get back the money the airlines owe you.

Is the flight overbooked?

You are also entitled to compensation if you are denied boarding due to overbooking. Overbooking is a situation in which you have purchased a flight ticket, but are then told that there are no seats available. Overbooking, in the aviation industry, is an oversold flight in the sense that there is not a seat for every ticket sold.
